With the understanding that there are many individuals and groups doing great deeds in the Seattle Leather Community, and they are receiving little or no recognition for their positive work, WSLO developed the National Leather Emerald Award, the Leather Emerald Award, International Community Service Award and Community Service Award. The Awards are broken out into varying categories and are awarded at a special brunch in honor of the recipients. These Awards have become one of the most prestigious awards on the west coast!
This award goes to a person or organization, who has either assisted the Seattle leather community in the past, or has provided positive leadership to the leather community in general. Receipt of the award should not imply a person’s sexuality.
The International Community Service Award goes to a person and/or group, who has given both heart and soul to the serving of the Leather Community or the general Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, BDSM community, through educational forums or community services. Receipt of the award should not imply a person’s sexuality.
The Leather Emerald Award goes to a person or group, who has had a positive impact on behalf of the Washington State Leather Community. Receipt of the award should not imply a person’s sexuality.
The Community Service Award goes to a person or group, who has given both heart and soul, to the greater Washington State Community. Receipt of the award should not imply a person’s sexuality.
