River Jones St James has been involved in the leather community for approximately a decade, transitioning from a submissive role to a top-heavy switch. With a notable presence in various pageants including Imperial Court of Seattle King of Hearts 38, Mr. Gay Seattle 43, and the first Mr. Gay Washington United States MI, River has demonstrated leadership and fundraising prowess within the community.

Presenting as a candidate for MX Washington State Leather, River’s motivation transcends personal ambition. Recognizing the need for representation and visibility within a segment of the community, River seeks to advocate for increased access and accountability in communal spaces. As the founder of D.R.I.L. Team (Disabled Representation in Leather Team), River has facilitated the creation of inclusive spaces for individuals with disabilities and those who support them.
